Rolf Heim: Status H
Elsinore’s untold stories come to life

Photo: In Status H, director Rolf Heim asks the question: Is Elsinore a fortress out of touch with time or a defense against our own time?
Status H is not a traditional work of art. Status H is a living, a fluid narrative. It is a plan, a structure. It is a net closing in on Elsinore. The contents is decided along the way, determined first of all of what stories the people of Elsinore has to tell themselves.
In 2007, Rolf Heim and Helsingør Teater produced the performance Nøjsomhed READYMADE, a tale about the housing project Nøjsomhed in Elsinore. Status H will return Rolf Heim to Elsinore, but this time in a different format. The new show will focus on the inner city of Elsinore and the surrounding housing projects.
Status H is a walk through Elsinore to central and de-central locations, where many of the city’s untold stories will come to life.
In a narrative framework presented by professional actors, local amateurs will create a piece about Elsinore. Center of attention will be the relationship the people of Elsinore has with their city and the stories that can be expressed in the public space. Is Elsinore a fortress out of touch with time or a defense against our own time, accumulated over centuries of history?
HMF Brændende Kærlighed “Car Park Remix”, a concert for top-tuned BMW’s with over-dimensioned stereos will form part of the performance.
