Søren Lose: Hjemstavn/Home
A new look at ”Home”

Artist Søren Lose will create a work of art, which will make references to the culturally and etchnically diverse group of people living there.
Søren Lose’s art project ”Home” (1996-2006) is the point of departure, when he joins Hjemstavn.com in order to present a new way to discuss the importance of the place where you were born. He will produce his work in Egedalsvænge, Kokkedal, involving local people and players from that housing project. As a starting point, the work will take the shape of a series of pavilions, which architecturally and in relation to form will make references to the culturally and ethnically diverse group living in Egedalsvænge.
The “Home” art project was recorded over a period of ten years on the island of Lolland, where Søren Lose grew up. The project was part of a more comprehensive installation, which was made up of a room with wallpaper on the walls, a stack of furniture, the video “Homevideo”, archive materials and historical paintings.
Søren Lose now lives and works in Berlin.
