Ten shining cars and their drivers

Ten top-tuned BMW’s and their drivers are parked in a half-circle. One driver is sitting behind the steering wheel. One is leaning up against his car. Two drivers stand up, engaged in a quiet conversation. Loud music is streaming out of the cars.

A conductor enters the half circle. He conducts both the drivers and the cars as if they were a symphony orchestra and they perform using the horns, the wind shields, the lights etc.

The cars make up the set design. The half circle between the cars is the stage. The voluminous stereos of the cars provide the sounds and the music. Together, the many stereos form an “orchestra”. The music creates an intense sound track of sweaty clubbing, detours and cool classical and Danish music and wild jazz. This is music, which you at first would not expect to hear from a typically hard pounding BMW. This is a musical performance, which will surprise you and add new dimensions and nuances to the people behind the steering wheels.

Car Park Remix will be performed as part of Status H from August 4-6 in Elsinore and as an independent performance on August 7 in Egedalsvænge, Kokkedal.
